Match Result - Nomads won by 50 runs.

In form Heslington departed early for 1 as opening bowler Parker bowled with good pace and got the bowl to in swing regularly. But in an effort to generate maximum pace he notched up an extraordinary number of no balls, 2 of which clean bowled Fearon. Fearon took advantage and put on 41 with Gardner and was out for 18 lobbing back a tame caught and bowled chance to Binding. The extras were mounting up fast and Gardner was batting more like his old self on his way to a season's best 62. He was well supported by Pinfield (5), Hussein (12) and Forster (15). Gardner was eventually run out after a mix up with Forster and the Nomads ended with 168 for 8 off their allotted 40 overs. Parker picked up 3 wickets and there were 2 each for Gough (P) and Binding.

Heslington and Forster opened the bowling for the Nomads and were quickly amongst the wickets. Only Gough offered any resistance from the top order and he batted virtually single handed at times. Forster took 4 of the first 5 wickets to fall with Heslington claiming the other. Only when Parker joined Gough at the crease did Tamworth look like making a game of it. They steadied the ship and accumulated runs,  needing only 60 off the last 10 overs to gain an unlikely victory.

Hoddy crucially claimed the wicket of Parker (25) caught in the covers by Hussein and then repeated the trick capturing Binding for 0. Gough still battled on gamely with the last man but was finally bowled by Heslington for 76 to give Nomads a winning margin of 50 runs.
