Rain prevents exciting finish
Walsall's decision to bat for 46 overs may have proved costly as Nomads comfortably held out for the draw after rain meant only there was only time for 33 overs to chase Walsall Health's total of 146 for 9.

Walsall batted first and the opening stand of 36 was the largest stand of the innings as wickets fell regularly. Heslington picked up one wicket, caught and bowled. Steve George picked up a season's best 3 for 38, Dan Moss took 3 for 14 and Dan Brannigan took 2 for 27 to restrict the opposition to just over three an over.
Rich Caygill shone in the field and took 4 catches.

Nomads reply was never up with the required rate as wickets also fell regularly. Moss and Brannigan poth picked up ducks. Caygill scored an important 54, supplemented by the usual suspects of Gardner (17) and Pinfield (12).

No-one else reached double figures. Pete Blackburn and Steve George were unbeaten at the end and secured the draw reasonably comfortably, as Nomads finished the last 20 overs on 112 for 7.
