Ingley five wicket haul defeats the Nomads

Timed Game, I Hughes captained Nomads for the first time and bowled tightly from the top end only conceding 26 off 10 overs. R Caygill bowled very well taking a wicket with his 3rd ball when M Pinfield plucked a catch at point and only conceding 5 runs off 5 overs before having to go off with a knee injury, (not serious); Hoddy finished the over. 14 year old Chris Collins guested for Nomads taking a wicket with his first ball and finishing with 2 for 7 off 3. Sutton were 99 off 34 overs but Nomad's last 7 overs went for 57 runs.

A fine innings of 56 from Pete Gardner was only supported by Chris Collins with 15 before Richard came in at no 8.  When Nomads were 100 off only 22 overs. However he failed to find much support from the lower order finishing on 29 not out.
We had a good drink in the Three Horseshoes afterwards, especially when Ross produced a photograph of the presentation to Gards of a Tankard for his 10000 runs taken at Barton a few years ago.
