The Nomads fielded first and the Coombs Wood CC opening pair of Perruzza and Jones were soon in their stride. Their partnership had yielded 164 runs and with a score of 250/260 a possibility, Brannigan came back on for his second spell to break the partnership by getting N Jones caught behind with fine work by Gardner, this breakthrough saw the Nomads fight back. Westwood clean bowled Goodway, Hughes took a sharp caught and bowled opportunity to dismiss Perruzza on 98 and Brannigan continued his fine spell accounting for Baker and D Jones. The Nomads retreated to another fine Tea with a target not unachievable.

Gardner and Heslington opened, the former cleaned bowled by a slower delivery and the latter run out backing up. Brannigan and Pinfield were out caught. C Collins played another innings of handsome strokes and only perished, caught at long on for 42 after hitting the bottom of his bat. Pickering plugged away, playing a couple of deft touches however after Captain Hughes was clean bowled by Perruzza all was not lost. Westwood, with a personal best of 45 not out, carried the charge with S George ably supporting. With 16 wanted off the last over, the couple of lusty blows needed failed to materialise and with WBA winning 3-2 at the Emirates, the LNCC 2010 cricket season came to an end.
