Draycott & Hanbury v Lichfield Nomads
Scores: Draycott & Hanbury CC 102 for 4 - 20 o’s Lichfield Nomads CC 94 for 8 - 20 o’s.

Result: Draycott &Hanbury CC won by 8 runs.

On an evening that threatened rain and did, Lichfield Nomads gave a good account of themselves in their only T20 game this summer. The bowling of Brannigan, Moss and Heslington was accurate and sharp. Leddington was clean bowled by Heslington and Locker was dismissed by a good catch from Weir. Marwick was out just short of his 50 by good work by G Blackburn behind the stumps.

The opening partnership of Hughes and Bourne did not give the side a good start, but a spirited effort by Brannigan and Moss pushed the score along. After both had departed, Heslington and Jones took the game to Draycott and only perished with the finishing line in site. The subsequent loss of three wickets in quick succession stopped a victory charge in its tracks.
