Rained off
at Penkridge
Hoping for the weather to improve, Nomads elected to bat and openers Terry and
Gardner put on a steady start, between the showers, against hostile but erratic
bowling . However with the overs now reduced to 34 per side and an early tea
taken, it was decided to abandon the match at around 5-30pm when it looked as
though play was going to be further delayed . Perhaps it was a bit premature and
more play could have been possible but the state of the pitch took first
priority.
