Manor Farm XI v Lichfield Nomads CC

A fast wicket and outfield produced an exciting finish to the first match played by the Lichfield Nomads Cricket Club.

Manor farm elected to bat and despite an excellent spell of bowling by S. George, supported by C. Rowland, managed to score at five runs an over, largely due to a fine innings by Harker supported by Hepburn down the order.

A sound start by S. George and I. Rowland was capitalised by Gardner and James in a stand of sixty-two. With 13 wanted off two overs, A. George hit a huge six to turn the game and with three balls remaining hit the ball square for four to give Nomads a six wicket victory.
