The Nomads extended their winning run to 3 games, in an entertaining match at Bugbrooke. The sun shone despite heavy rain at the British Grand Prix just up the road at Silverstone. The star of the show was Reg Harris, 91 years young. Still standing up to all the bowlers and he survived 0 not out with the bat. How often do you play against someone born before the start of the second world war, never mind the first one? Reg is practically old enough to be Ray's Grandad and is a credit to himself and the club.
The tea was also worth a mention. One of the best that the Nomads enjoy on their travels.
Once again the picturesque setting played a host to an enjoyable cricket match. A strong Nomads side batted first and Gardner and Heslington put on 46 for the first wicket before Ross was caught and bowled by P. Finch-Noyes for 31. Gardner fell lbw  for 26 and then Moss scored a rapid 56 including a six and 7 fours in a stand of 84 with Pinfield (55*).
Higginson went for 1 and Fearon was caught at mid-off for his second Gonad of the season.
The Nomads opening bowling from Heslington and Higginson was tight and both were unlucky not to get a wicket. Greaves and Fearon then took up the mantle and quickly made inroads into the Bugbrooke batting. Greaves finishing with a season's best 4-48 and Fearon 3-31. Moss, Pickering and Pinfield then finished off the tail with a wicket each.
