Lichfield Nomads Cricket Club : Match Reports 2002 |
|
Nomads 219 for 6 off 40
overs. (Moss 56, Pinfield 55*, Lamb 2-26) Bugbrooke 150 all out from 36.5 overs (Greaves 4-48, Fearon 3-31) The Nomads extended their winning run to 3 games, in an
entertaining match at Bugbrooke. The sun shone despite heavy rain at the British Grand
Prix just up the road at Silverstone. The star of the show was Reg Harris, 91 years young.
Still standing up to all the bowlers and he survived 0 not out with the bat. How often do
you play against someone born before the start of the second world war, never mind the
first one? Reg is practically old enough to be Ray's Grandad and is a credit to himself
and the club. |
