Royal Brussels v Lichfield Nomads

With Greaves unable to travel at the last minute, the Nomads were reduced to only nine men for the match. Lichfield Nomads posted 68 for 5. The match was reduced to 35 overs. Mark Heslington was 22 not out after carrying his bat. The Nomads found batting very tricky against quality bowling. The runs were hard to get away on a slow outfield. Apart from Heslington, only Gardner (11) and Hoddy (10) got into double figures.

The total didn't give the bowlers much to defend. Hoddy and Hughes opened the attack and Hughes removed Collins lbw for 3. Heslington was the other wicket taker trapping O' Regan leg before wicket for 8.

But Royal Brussels were always in command and well up with the rate. Opener Lodge steered the Belgians to victory with 48 not out with over 13 overs to spare.
