Woore v Lichfield Nomads Match Report to appear here The match against Woore on Sunday 8th July 2007 was abandoned after 28 overs due to a torrential downpour. The sodden ground was unable to soak up the heavy rain and the square and outfield was covered in puddles. The game was abandoned after 28.1 overs due to heavy rain, thunder and hail making square unplayable. The Nomads were 83-7 at this stage - they opened with Roy the spinner from the pavilion end and a medium pacer wearing an ECB academy shirt who swung it late accounting for Gards 1, Ian Hughes 5 or 6, Dan Moss 7 off stump looked surprised and a bit miffed. Meanwhile Mal stuck with it, accompanied by Steve George who was stumped for 7 by the annoying 14 year old wicketkeeper, then the opener came in from the pavilion end and bowled Mal for 33, Pete B got 3 before lbw when we came off. Early tea, changed, drink there, another at Green Man Milwich in garden, then a few in the new drinking garden at the Queens, home.Ian has the book as scorebook not filled in from Wall game. Ray
