Originally the club used to invite members to play the Telegraph Fantasy Cricket League. A trophy and small prizes were awarded to the winners.
Pete Willis ran it for many years, Mark Heslington taking over later. The time taken to compile the scores became too burdensome and the league was ended in 2012.
With the advent of online fantasy leagues and the increase in interest in the Premier League we decided to restart the competition, in 2020, with 'Fantasy Premier League'.
