Woore too good for the Nomads

D Moss kept wicket for first 20 overs then swapped over to J Hoddy. Bowling was reasonably tight with 85 off 24 overs then conceded 100 off next 16 with I Hughes conceding 30 off his last two overs after a spell of 1 for 18. D Moss bowled quick and took a diving catch off Blackburns medium pace which gave the captain three wickets and held back Woore to 20 runs in the last 5 overs.  Briggs top scored with 72 not out including 3 sixes.

The Nomads slumped to 15 for 2, then a stand of 42 between Pinfield and D Moss before the former nicked one to the keeper and Dan was bowled shortly after for 33 including one 6. Woore lent Nomads a C Palmer who scored a beefy 30 and put on 46 with Dan Brannigan who scored 17. Nigel Edwards then scored a PB of 27 after a tentative start with good timing and finding the gaps. Pete Willis dotted out the last few balls. The game was enjoyed by a large crowd in fine, sunny weather on a ground with views of the distant Shropshire hills.
