40 overs Match. Nomads lost the toss and Batted first.

Weather :  Dry, cold, sunny spells.

Match Result - Nomads won by 140 runs.

Nomads 197 for 3 off 40 overs, Swynnerton 57 for 9 (all out) off 22.1 overs. Umpire Ray Jennett.

A superb second wicket stand of 89 between Gardner and Fearon put the Nomads in an excellent position. Fearon was out for 23, attempting to hit the ball back over the bowler's head. Gardner had contributed the lion's share of the runs and then dominated the third wicket partnership of 68 with Pinfield before falling 7 runs short of his century. Pinfield and Forster then added a further 25 runs to set an imposing target of 197 for 3. Several Swynnerton players were at Wembley to see Stoke win the Auto Windshields Final against Bristol City. This left the batting a bit thin and Heslington's opening burst soon had Synnerton in trouble. The home side were reduced to 15-3, they recovered to 51-3 before Greaves' dramatic introduction saw the last 6 wickets fall for 9 runs. Giving Greaves a career best 5 wickets for only 6 runs and Nomads a winning margin of 140 runs.
