Nomads beat Penn by 7 wickets in fading light. Tight bowling by Higginson and Forster saw Penn struggling to get bat on ball. Singh was bizarrely run out letting go of his bat when out of his ground. Hoddy then shuffled his bowlers to try and make something happen with varying degrees of success. A cameo performance at the end saw Fearon take 2-14 in 3 overs. Penn declared at tea on 143 for 6 with the Nomads likely to get about 36 overs with the risk of rain/bad light cutting this short. Moss and Hussein opened the batting and started like a train. Fearon started brightly but was run out after poor calling. Gardner and Pinfield then came together and they batted sensibly early on before stepping up the tempo to reach the target in fading light with 9.3 overs to spare to end the season on a winning note.
